The historic Babcock Building was purchased in October of 2008 by Babcock LLC members Kim and Don Olsen, Kay Foster and Mike Mathew. The two-story building covers one-quarter of a city block in the center of downtown Billings, Montana. Built in 1907 it houses a 750 seat theater, 14 second story apartments, and main floor retail spaces.
The building has had only three owners in 105 years and has recently undergone extensive internal and external restoration. The building has been accepted for placement on the National Register of Historic Places.
Once again the theater is a lively performing arts space, residents have filled the second floor, and a restored facade and storefronts have welcomed new retail tenants. Longtime tenants Montague's Jewelers and Rock Creek Roasters continue to offer excellent products and service! zPizza opened its downtown location at 116 N. Broadway in June of 2010 and Catherine Louisa Gallery is located in the arcade space at 120 N. Broadway. Jimmy John's Sandwiches occupies 122 N. Broadway and the Billings Gallery of Fine Art is at 118 N. Broadway. There is one retail space available at 114 N. Broadway. It has 2200 sf with a 1500 sf mezzanine and can be viewed by calling Don at 406-259-7123. |
